Traditional Tibetan Medicine PractitionerEzDean Fassassi is a Traditional Tibetan Medical Practitioner and owner of Holistic Health Consulting, LLC. EzDean has been into medicine, writ large, for many years, since choosing to become a pre-med at Princeton, in 2002. After graduation, he briefly worked in Immunology, in a vaccine lab at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. In 2008, EzDean came across what most call ‘Tibetan Medicine’, but what he prefers to call Sowa Rigpa, “The Science of Healing,” or “Tibetan Medical Science.” From there, he studied the traditional medical science at Shang Shung Institute of Tibetan Medicine, in Western Massachusetts under Drs. Phuntsok Wangmo and Tenzin Dakpa, and subsequently, traveled to Western China to study at the Qinghai Tibetan Medical College with Dr. Rinchen Dorje, as well as many other gifted physicians. EzDean had the opportunity to live and study at the Tibetan Medical College, in Western China (historically Eastern Amdo Tibet), off and on from 2009 to 2014.
EzDean has a Masters Degree from the University of Virginia, where he studied Tibetan and Chinese language, Tibetan History and Buddhism. In his spare time, he enjoys reading the Tibetan medical canon, Chinese language literature, watching films, playing music, dancing, and spending time with his family.
